The Challenge of Least Evangelized Peoples
Almost 2 billion people (27.9% of the world) are still essentially cut off from access to the Gospel. Many of these peoples live in major urban centers. Some are more remote and rural. All continue to be largely “ignored” by the Great Commission Christian world. Sorry, but the statistics prove this fact.
These same researchers tell us that if all the mission organizations from every continent continue to grow at current rates and continue to increase (and decrease) the number of missionaries at current projected rates, the Least Evangelized Peoples of the world will still be 23 - 25% in 2025!
The slight reduction in percentage is misleading. The actual number of people will be significantly greater as the Least Evangelized block of the world grows by 12 million a year.
Innovative Mission Volunteers
In order to change the projections about reaching the Least Evangelized Peoples of the world, some radical changes need to be considered. We are looking for people from all kinds of vocations who are committed to:
- Becoming excellent and effective in starting transformational church planting movements.
- Being a part of an innovative strategy team
We plan to stimulate the creation of hundreds of long term strategy teams globally. These strategy teams will work with Christians from around the world to encourage a broad set of innovative strategies (word evangelism, deed evangelism, prayer evangelism, business evangelism, and even miracle evangelism efforts) in the effort to promote transformational church planting movements.
Please join us in our increased commitment to the Unreached Peoples of the world.
To Do What Needs To Be Done
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary in October, 2007. A new COO (Tim Swauger) and a new CEO (Kent Parks) have been selected. A commitment to new initiatives among the Least Evangelized Peoples of the world (also called Unreached Peoples) has been made. Click here to download our 2008 Annual Report, a 943kb Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
The question that will be asked is not “What can we do?” The question that will be asked is “What needs to be done?” to join with the global Body of Christ in more effective efforts to create transformational church planting movements among the over 6,500 Unreached Peoples which are found in every region of the world..
