Are you willing to be used by God
to change lives for Christ?
Who: Seventy-two “willing-to-be-used-by-God” young people, ages 18-30 (singles, couples and families are welcome).
What: Mission to Unreached Peoples can enable you to make an impact for the unreached. Ifyou are considering a career in missions, this is a unique opportunity to experience “real-life” mission work. You will gain invaluable experience under the supervision of missionaries. You will be sent out in teams of two following the pattern of Luke 10, to build relationships with unreached people groups, and create opportunities to share God’s Word. We offer varied and flexible placement opportunities.
When: Each year Luke 10 begins with training two weeks before Labor Day (always the first Monday in September), followed by 3-9 months overseas. The two-week training in Seattle is designed to cover such topics as: cross-cultural training, discipleship, interpersonal skills, and personal ministry skills.
Where: Placements are available throughout Europe and Asia, particularly in any countries within or bordering on the 10/40 Window. Specific team assignments are now open with a focus on, but not limited to Cambodia, China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, India, Russia, Mongolia and Taiwan. The 10/40 Window stretches across North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, from 10-40 degrees north of the Equator.
Why:* 2/3 of the people of the world reside here. This area is the heart of Islam. Three main religious blocs are located in this area (Muslim 22%, Hindu 23%, Buddhist 5%). Eight out of ten of the poorest of the poor live in this area, and eight out of ten have the lowest quality of life (life expectancy, infant mortality, and literacy.) in the world. This area is a stronghold of Satan.
