The World Missions Atlas Project
www.WorldMAP.org – This is the parent site to maps.worldmap.org and has maps of every country of the world showing Bible Translation Status, JESUS Film Translation Status, and Status of Evangelization by Language and People Group. There are also country profiles for approximately 195 countries of the world and more being added daily. These country profiles are created from a Christian perspective and include prayer requests, Missiological implications and History from a Christian perspective. We are currently working on a Beta area of each country that will take much of this information and map it on your own maps.
YWAM and the 4k Omega Zones
(www.4kworldmap.org) 4k is the initiative of YWAM to break the world down into manageable areas based on the level of Christianity in an area. The resulting breakdown of the world results into approximately 4000 regions that are more detailed in areas of low Christianity and less detailed and higher population areas in areas of higher percentage Christians. By taking data from the World Christian Data base the 4k team was able to create indices of human needs and spiritual needs to show where there are areas of higher needs in the world.
Global Mapping International
(www.gmi.org) Global Mapping provides mapping services for ministries and software for those who can dedicate people towards mapping. They have developed a tool call the Global Ministry Mapping System that utilizes professional mapping software and Global Missions information that they offer to ministries at a discounted price. GMI also offers customized mapping support for your ministry needs as well.
